- post-Islamic Ethics + 4th paper: The Novel & Short Stories -

*sigh*
at last, i'm done with my third paper..
it was quite challenging, the questions i mean..
for the first time, there's two compulsary questions! ok, usually there's like 4-5 questions and the first question is compulsary.. this time, there were 4 questions and the first 2 questions were COMPULSORY!!
i was like "what the F***???".. i didn't actually utter those words out loud but they were in my mind.. come on, i'm not that stupid to utter those words in an IRK exam..
anyway, the questions were quite difficult to me.. of course i'd say that, i didn't finish studying (as usual).. like i said before, there were too many things to read and i didn't know where to start.. served me right!

i don't have any exams today.. my next paper will be on wednesday (08/04/09) which is tomorrow.. still have to study.. my fourth paper is ENGL 2515 - Literary Genres 3: The Novel & Short Story.. i just can't get eneough of saying the course title.. it's so 'cute'..
for others out there who aren't BENL students, they'd be curious about this subject.. many were like:

A: You guys study novels??
B: Do you just read the novels and analyse them?
C: Why would anyone want to study novels?

well, we do study the novels and short stories that were given to us in class.. but it's not what you think.. i don't know how to explain it in detail but i'll try my best..
we study both 'old' and contemporary novels and short stories and compare betweens those two.. we look at the history of those fictions, study the background of the authors, study the reason behind their writings and what type of style they use, etc..
i guess that sums it up..

speaking of novels and short stories, that reminds me of something i gotta do today.. i need to consult my ever-oh-so-good-looking lecturer, Mr. Mazlan about my carry marks..
i wonder if i'll pass the subject.. it is a literature subject, mind you.. you need to be creative in writing your opinions and ideas and speaking out your mind (is that even correct?)..
i'm not that good in giving out opinions and ideas.. my head is full of crappy things.. why did i ever decide to major in literature, i have no idea..
oh well..
